Turning Point Dance Ministry

Turning Point is a Christian performing arts ministry, and we accept participants aged 12 and older. For those younger than 12, please refer to our children’s section.

Dance experience is not required to join Turning Point, but if you can hold at least a basic rhythm, you will have a much easier time! Since we are a ministry, all are accepted, however we do have an audition process so you can be placed in groups where you will have the best chance of having a positive experience during your time with us.

All participants are required to be a bible-believing Christian, and able to attend Tuesday night rehearsals if participating in our mainstage productions. Technique classes and missions teams have varied time commitments.

Closer to show time, we also have Saturday morning/afternoon practices and occasional mandatory days not announced until 6 weeks before a performance.

Dancers are required to dress modestly for practices, and provide very basic costume pieces such as a leotard and black dance shoes. A suggested participation fee helps to defray costs and give everyone a chance to participate.

We hold two start dates – one in October, one in January. To participate in our main stage production, you must join during one of these sessions. Summer dance begins in late May.

Advanced dance team is by audition only, and the touring company is by invitation only.
