At the beginning of October, Turning Point dancers traveled down to Southern California to participate in the 13th annual Southern California Christian Dance Conference. Their performance got great feedback, and they were invited to dance at two more festivals – one in San Diego, and a repeat performance in Redlands.
While in So Cal, we also visited a nursing home where we danced for the residents and then prayed with some of them. It was a great time of love and fellowship, and everyone involved felt very blessed!
We are now in rehearsals for our Spring 2010 outreach production of Cinderella, and we’re also preparing for our three Christmas outreaches. We’ve been invited to dance at a company party, which will also give us an opportunity to share Christ – as well minister and perform at two low-income apartment complex outreaches in Placer County. It should be a great time of fellowship and dancing for the Lord!
At the end of August, Turning Point’s hip hop team performed at Rock the Block California’s open air outreach. The event featured break dancers, rap artists, children’s games/activities, free dinner, and powerful evangelical messages.
On August 23rd, Harvest Creative Arts Dept had their 4th annual community variety show – Artbeat 2009 Unleashed. Featuring visual artists, musicians, actors and dancers from both Harvest church and the local community, we had a great turn out for both shows and look forward to Artbeat 2010!

On Tuesday, thirteen members of Turning Point returned home after serving for almost two weeks on the island of Trinidad. While overseas, we hosted a VBS, danced in the local churches, and visited an orphanage. We are thankful to the Lord for our new friends and experiences, and it’s good to be home!

Turning Point performed Project 365 in April at Northern California Dance Conservatory, and now is taking the show on tour to a variety of venues. We’re looking forward to our tour to various festivals and churches.
Our touring group has been invited to perform at the Sacramento County Fair, and you can catch us there in May. We’re also joining up with Rock the Block California this summer, and will be preparing to host and plan our 4th annual variety show at Harvest Community Church.
Our return missions trip to the island of Trinidad is coming up in July, and we have recently been invited to dance at the Southern California Christian Dance Concert in October. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel and enjoy new opportunities!
This summer, the kids of Turning Point will also be busy! Visit our children’s dance section to find out what they’re up to!
